  1. Is it just me or did you discuss 6 aids of which only ONE is an RIC model? I have 100% no interest in a BTE model. I'm just starting my search for aids and this was the first video I've seen

  2. Very informative and nice video.
My father's DBHL is 71 in right and left ear.
    Severe sensorineural hearing loss.
    71 years old.

Could you please tell me me which type hearing aid should we use.
    Which brand is reliable .

Between BTE and RIC , which is best in current situation?

Please answer. It will be very helpful.

  4. My audiologist sold me a pair of top of the line Starkey Evolve's. Sound quality was only marginally better than my old Muses. The remote mic did not work well at all (nothing like as well as the Surflink interface/mic that I had with the Muses) The Thrive app had so many bells and whistles and functions I did not use that for me it was a waste of time. It might have worked better with an Iphone (I have a Motorola phone which I like). the Edge function did not seem to make any difference. I could not justify the thousands of dollars for so little improvement and problems with the mic so I returned the Evolve's and ended up paying $300 for just trying them. I still want to get new HA's but don't know what to buy. I really want rechargeable ones (one of the few things I liked about the Evolves).

  6. Do you have a video ranking robust rechargeable hearing aids for an elderly woman? I’m researching for my Grand Mother. She needs a premium hearing device without all the extra like apps. She doesn’t have internet. She needs something that is rechargeable because fumbling with batteries is too cumbersome and she refuses to bother with wearing it more than she wears it. I think her quality of life would improve if she could hear better. I watch movies with her and she’s not able to follow the story line and gets frustrated easily because she can’t even hear me if I try to explain it. I have to yell in her good ear and she’s too impatient for that. I don’t understand the technology. Our budget is $600 maximum. We want something reliable, user friendly and robust in operation for sound amplification. She’s lost all hearing in her left ear and can only hear with an aid in her right ear or with people talking loudly directly in her ear. I’m okay with Bluetooth as we could connect it with my laptop for her to hear movies better.

  7. Why don't you just simply list the "average" prices of these aids ? This is what a lot of people want.
I personally would look at the price then the item relating to the price. I don't want to sit for an age watching clips on aids that are out of my price range,as useful as this is to others,it's not for me. I've googled everywhere just to find out prices from this video,I get sent from pillow to post and still can't even get a price ??
Unreal. I thought this is what channels like yours would do ?
    I'm obviously very wrong. !

  8. Just the video I needed. I've been wearing Starkey Livio for 4 years and although they are a necessity the results are not great. The app sucks. Nosiy situations they're "supposed" to isolate sounds in front of you and it doesn't at all. I don't think my AudD is experienced in the other models that seem very appealing right now.

  9. I had many hearing tests and was told I have severe to profound hearing loss. Also they told me I couldn't hear some sounds even with the highest amplification. Do you think those improved and modern hearing aids solve this problem or any thing new in this regard?

  10. Thank you for this review Dr.Cliff. Request your opinion for a better options between Phonak P50 vs Widex Moment 220 for a 10 year old child with moderate to serve hearing loss, Currently using Widex Unique 220. Key requirement is sound quality. Battery life or Bluetooth connectivity is secondary. Many thanks in advance.

  11. I need a real hearing aid for my dad with the battery life and size of an earbud. My dad can't manipulate the small hearing aids. So freaking frustrating. Someone should've combined these two a while ago. I can only think it that they business model is a satisfied customer is a customer that doesn't keep coming back for solutions.
