You know when you put in a Bluetooth headphones…and it sounds different than when you don’t wear them to listen to something…it’s the same thing (you using basically second hand sand sound) for example when my Mom first got her hearing aids she cried and said “I can hear the words you are saying, but I can’t hear your beautiful voice, it sounds like an intercom system at an inside voice” (she’s a retired school teacher)

  2. Someone I know has hearing loss, but when they use any kind of bud or earphone (even when not switched on) their own voice is amplified, and echos to an uncomfortable level when they speak. Just to confirm, this happens even when the earbuds/earphones are not switched or even plugged into a device. What causes this? Would the through-bone devices maybe help?
