How to Control Oticon TV Adapter 3.0 with the Oticon ON App?
This video will teach you the exact steps on How to Control Oticon TV Adapter 3.0 with the Oticon ON App. So first things first, installing the app. The app’s available on both Apple and Android devices. So you’re going to want to go to the app store of your device, search Oticon ON, that’s O-T-I-C-O-N space O-N, and once you find the app, you’re going to want to install it and it will be ready for use.
Once you open up that app, you’re going to be prompted with some on-screen instructions that you will follow in order to connect your hearing aids. So once you get into the app, the home screen is where you can access all features of the app.
It can be accessed from anywhere in the app by tapping the home icon in the bottom of the screen pictured to the right. So label number one represents remote control which gives access to hearing aid programs and volume control.
Label number two hearing aid is where you can check the battery levels of the hearing aids as well as find your hearing aids if you happen to lose your hearing aids and you have this function enabled.
Label number three hearing fitness allows you to set personal listening goals. Label number four internet of things gives access to IFTTT features. Label number five hearing guide gives access to various guides where you can learn how to get the most out of the hearing aids.
And label number six settings is where you can adjust the app according to your preferences and also re-read instructions if you find yourself having trouble with something. Changing volume and muting the hearing aids.
Select remote control
To do this, you’re gonna want to select remote control from the home screen or select remote control at the middle of the bottom of the screen right to the right of the home button which you can see pictured to the right.
The volume can be changed in both hearing aids at the same time or in each hearing aid independently which will be discussed in the future. Label number one is the volume level indicator. Zero is the start-up volume as prescribed by your hearing care professional, so it’s going to be the default volume level.
Label number two slide up or down to increase or decrease the volume. So if you want to turn the volume up, you’ll go ahead and slide that slider up. If you wanna turn it down, you’ll slide it down.
Label number three is where you’ll go if you want to change the volume of both hearing aids together so that they are both changing in volume at the same level and at the same time. Or you can select this button if you want to change the volumes of each hearing aid independently from one another.
So if you want one hearing aid louder or quieter than the other, you can select this button. And if you are adjusting each hearing aid independently, you will see two sliders, one for the left hearing aid and one for the right hearing aid.
Label number four is the mute button so you’ll go ahead and tap this if you want to mute or unmute your hearing aid microphones. Changing programs again can be found in remote control up at the top.
You can scroll through those programs. You may have as little as one program fitted to your hearing aids or you may have as many as four programs fitted to your hearing aids. And in each program, you can adjust the volume as we just described previously independently from other programs.
The programs icon
So you’re gonna wanna tap the programs icon at the top of the screen to access the programs. Swipe to the left to see the full list. Tap the icon of the program you wish to access. The background color of the icon of the selected program turns white as pictured to the right, so program two is selected.
Selection of the program will result in changing the program also on the hearing aid. If the hearing aids are paired with a TV adapter and/or with a ConnectClip, one or two more programs will be available in the list.
And you may also be fitted with a Tinnitus Sound Support program which we’ll talk about more in a little bit. So if you do have either TV sound and/or a remote microphone, you can adjust levels accordingly as they apply to those devices.
So TV adapter/EduMic, if the hearing aids are paired with a TV adapter, you are able to control sound streamed from your TV to the hearing aids. So select streaming to adjust the volume of the sound streamed from your TV to your hearing aids.
To adjust the volume of the external sound picked up by the hearing aids, you’re gonna wanna select environment. If the hearing aids are paired with EduMic, the program will be used in order to let you control sound streamed from Oticon’s educational wireless microphone.
And moving on to remote mic or ConnectClip, you’re gonna wanna select mic sound to adjust the volume of the sound streamed from your ConnectClip to your hearing aids. To adjust the volume of the external sound picked up by the hearing aids, you’re gonna go ahead and select environment.

Individual who struggles with tinnitus
If you are an individual who struggles with tinnitus and your audiologist fit you with one of these sound support programs, so this program or programs can also be found in the list of other programs that you’re fitted with.
So adjusting one of these programs, you’re gonna wanna select noise to adjust the volume of the tinnitus sounds. Adjust the volume of the tinnitus program by swiping up or down on the sliders. This can be done for each hearing aid independently or both hearing aids at the same time.
For more information about volume control, you can refer back to the section change volume in this video. And to adjust the volume of the external sound picked up by the microphones of the hearing aids, you’re gonna wanna go ahead and select environment.
OpenSound Booster. OpenSound Booster can be useful if you find it difficult to focus on speech or if you are tired after a long day of work. So this shifts settings of the hearing aids into an enhanced mode where noise, especially coming from the sides and behind you, can be reduced.
To activate this feature, use the horizontal switch above the volume sliders pictured to the right. You can see it is green which means the OpenSound Booster is turned on. If that green color was white, that means the OpenSound Booster would be turned off.
So just a quick note, the feature can be turned off in the app but it will also be deactivated when changing programs, opening the battery drawer, or by reconnecting the hearing aids. And for rechargeable hearing aids, the Booster is turned off when the hearing aid is either placed in the charger or manually turned off by a long press.
